One of FORS' key mandates is to raise money to benefit Ravenswood Elementary School. As a 501(c)3-designated non-profit, all of our net income goes to support various Ravenswood programs. In the 2017-2018 school year, we raised over $140,000 to support our school. With your help, we'd love to grow that number this year!
The Spring Forward Benefit is our largest fundraiser. An entertainment-filled extravaganza, it includes performances by parents and community members, a silent and live auction, an open bar, and delicious food. Volunteers do everything from soliciting auction items to performing at the event.
We invite our entire community to this fantastic, fun-filled event.
Walk for Ravenswood is an annual fitness-focused fundraising program, engaging Ravenswood students in healthy activity while raising money for their school. The program is designed to spotlight the importance of physical fitness and healthy lifestyle choices, while empowering students to contribute to the needs of their school community.
The Ravenswood Raffle allows Ravenswood students to directly earn money for their school by selling raffle tickets to families and friends. Students learn self confidence, outreach and communication skills. The students and classrooms with the most raffle tickets sales earn prizes, including gift cards and class pizza parties.
Have fun, build community and raise money for the school while throwing projectiles?? Absolutely! Every winter, we dress up, duck, dip, dive and dodge! Our tournament pits teams of 10 players (5 male, 5 female) against one another in an adrenaline-fueled mélée of epic proportions — and unbelievable fun.
We partner with local restaurants and businesses to offer dine / shop for nights that benefit our school! If you’re planning on eating out anyway, or need to pick up something fun, why not do it and help support our school at the same time? We welcome support from our community and local businesses as part of this program.
In conjunction with the Ravenswood Elementary Student Council, we host two dances every year - the Snow Ball, for PK-4th grade, and the Ram Bash, for our older students.
Our Book Fairs are held twice a year, usually around Parent-Teacher conference time. Volunteers set up, staff, and take down the pop-up store, and a percentage of proceeds goes to our school.
